Michael Brooks spent most of his life along the Lake Michigan shoreline. He received his MFA from Pacific University and is finishing a DMin in the Sacred Art of Writing at Western Theological Seminary. His short work has appeared or is forthcoming in The Southampton Review, Redivider, Relief: A Journal of Art and Faith, X-R-A-Y Literary Magazine, BULL, Columbia Journal, EcoTheo Review, and others. He also writes and produces music under the name M Brooks. You can find his album Art from Darkness on most music platforms.
